I’ve been so darn busy, DC seems so distant. Meeting new friends does help bring timeless memories to the trip. You know, I was there but do not recall this view at all. I love it! I guess I ran up close to marvel at it and forgot to ‘take it all in’. That’s the beauty of your eye and that camera. You capture what others miss. Thanks my dear xk

Thanks, Cybele. The only things in “color” were all the tourists clothes 😉 With a night shot like this, it just screamed mono to me!

I really have to try out B&W more often ! Whenever I see your monochrome pictures, I always think that, especially the architectural ones.

What a nice thing to say 🙂 I absolutely have become addicted to B&W. When a photo works well, I just love all the gorgeously different tones. I think architecture really lends itself well!

Dramatic – love the sense of height – the tall building with the people below.

Thanks, Raewyn. The only way to get a shot of the monument is to, in fact, shoot upwards 🙂 I cropped in because by the time I got there, blue hour was long over and the sky was pitch black. Nothing of interest there, so decided to focus on Mr. J and his visitors!

Fabulous shot Stacey. Mr Jefferson is very imposing and the Tidal Basin is stunning! You live in a very beautiful – and clean – city!
