  1. I like how you roll. Glad to hear all went A-ok. I heard this storm called Snowmagedden at another site, maybe Laurie B’s. That cracked me up. You’ve got a wonderfully cozy spot there too, digging the red checkered wing chair. It really pops! xK

    • And today, there’s barely any evidence of it left apart from the once-huge snowbanks created by the snowplows. Mother Nature is just so wild πŸ™‚ As for the red wing chair, I’ve been wanting to recover it for a while – hubby says no πŸ˜‰ So, glad you like it. Most comfortable chair in the house as it reclines πŸ™‚

  2. and one more thing: being able to watch the snow fall, while enjoying the fire and all those yummy treats! Glad I came back to see this one, Stacy.
Your room is full of warmth!

    • Actually, there’s always a fun sense of anticipation for me when a major snowstorm is predicted. As long as the storm doesn’t create power issues, it’s a chance to relax and enjoy the enforced quiet! And, of course, the right provisions always help πŸ™‚

  3. Great fireplace – and Coffee that needs no electricity – that’s being prepared ! and we are in the path of Jonas here too – ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️and feel pretty ready as well

    • I learned he hard way about coffee and lack of electricity. A neighbor in our last major storm quite a few years ago boiled water over a camping stove and used one of these handy devices. I went out and bought one for myself right after that πŸ™‚ I haven’t had to use it yet, but I feel much better knowing I can get my caffeine fix if power goes out πŸ™‚ Stay safe, too, Yvette!

  4. When you close the curtains to keep out the cold, candles lit on the mantelpiece, and snuggling up to each other, playing old romantic songs on the turntable, sipping your respective drinks (‘tho Pepsi just doesn’t do it for romantic ole me), you can imagine you’re up in your log cabin in the Adirondacks or Appalachians, listening to the wind rage outside, wolves howling, and you all snug inside!

  5. Hahaha, I love it Stacy! My son convinced me to get enough hot chocolate mix to last us for weeks. At least we won’t run out soon. Stay safe and warm. The weather forecasters are predicting 18 -20 inches here in central Jersey.

  6. I’m snugged in myself, with wine, coffee, cheese, and assorted other goodies. Will be putting hot water in thermoses this evening and have all my sterno, candles, and batteries ready. Hope not to need them, just to have a nice warm rest while the weather rages!

Any thoughts?
