Weekly Photo Challenge: Symmetry

San Juan ColonnadeColonnade, San Juan, Puerto Rico

I took this picture because of the shadows, but the more I studied the image, the more symmetry I saw within the architectural details of this picturesque colonnade — in the archways on the left and the arched shadows on the ground to the doors on the right and the lanterns in the ceiling. That’s probably why this is one of my favorite photos from Old San Juan.

  1. So much to love in this one, Stacy. You outlined them all so I won’t repeat, but it’s an excellent shot.
So many times I’ve tried to capture a long view of a similar scene … without success. You succeeded!

    • Ummm, I don’t know, Laurie – I remember one of the first images I saw as I came aboard Monochromia was of a long view of a pier on a beach that was absolutely breathtaking! 😀 (And thanks for your kind comment!)
