Monochromia: Side Entrance

Radio City Music Hall, New York City, 51st Street Entrance

Most visitors to New York City’s Radio City Music Hall are familiar with its front entrance on 6th Avenue. Walking down the Avenue, I spotted this side entrance on 51st Street and loved the angles and lines (and the accompanying NYC cabs).

    • I had to laugh at this 🙂 You’re right in that I’ve been posting both color and B&W versions of my Monochromia images lately. For this one, I debated and debated and ultimately decided I really liked the B&W best. Maybe at some point, I’ll post the color … Thanks, Kaz 🙂

  1. Wow! Looks like either the Fuji or the processing has upped your game. This is an amazing shot. Forget ABF week 55. What in the world did you do with this one?

    • I’d like to think it’s a combination of the two 😉 Seriously, aren’t you finding the image quality of the T1 just superb?? I know Joe will often shoot in JPEG as even this quality is awesome, but having taken so long to move to RAW, I’m not yet ready to give it up! As for what I did, LR plus ColorEfex Pro to get the best color image I could, then into Silver Efex Pro for the conversion. Back in LR, I added a few additional tweaks. I have to admit I went back and forth between a few versions before deciding on this one. Seems I made the right choice 😉 Thanks, Emilio!
