Photography 101: Street

Wisconsin Avenue, Georgetown, Washington, DC

I was playing with my 35mm prime lens for the first time when I took these shots. I stood on the sidewalk and shot the action happening on the street, everything from bicyclists and pedestrians to ambulances and vehicles … just not all within the same shot. So while I didn’t quite capture the “establishing shot” the assignment calls for, these three shots tell the story of what a well-traveled street Wisconsin Avenue is!

    • Lots of activity on this very busy street, Ben. It’s not far from the campus of Georgetown University and it’s a main artery for traffic heading into the area, so it’s filled with lots of action and lots of people. Fun place to go. Thanks for your comment!
