Summer Lovin’ Whitewater

Best.summer.experience.ever. Am I lovin’ it?? You betcha!!! And I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Of the twenty-one days I’ve just spent on the road out west in the United States, I have to say that this one was among my favorites! Did I take these photos? No (though I did post-process). This time, I’m a happy photographee!Β  First time whitewater rafting, and what a special time it was – taken down the Snake River in Jackson, Wyoming, by my nephew (a certified whitewater guide), along with my brother and sister-in-law (on the right in the photos) and my husband (in front of me on the left).Β  The photographer caught us coming through the Big Kahuna rapids (gotta love the name). Thanks, Blake, for keeping me and your mom in the boat. Wish I had had a camera when the guys hit that cold water πŸ™‚

See all the other wonderful photos submitted for the Summer Lovin’ Challenge.

    • Ha! No skills at all, Jaime. When my nephew said paddle, I paddled. When he said take a break, I did πŸ™‚ Apart from that he said when we saw the big water coming not to freeze – just keep paddling through it. And so I did. Guess I’m pretty good at following directions, since I didn’t end up in the river! Such a blast!!
