Hawaiian Silhouettes

I didn’t think anything could compare to this Hawaiian sunset. I was wrong.

Sunset over beach at Hualalai, Hawaii creates silhouetttes of palm trees, sightseers, swimming pool and cabanas.

    • Thanks, Karen! I still have a hard time deciding whether I like the photo of the sunset or sunrise better 🙂 But the experience of getting to and from the viewing point to see that sunrise over Haleakala is one I’ll never forget!

  1. When I saw the sunset photograph, I pictured myself sipping at cocktails under a palm tree with the breeze blowing overhead … just for a moment anyway. Oh and maybe we can add in the impossibly good-looking Hawaii Five 0 crew !

    • I’m assuming you’re referring to the current Hawaii Five-O crew? Cuz I grew up with the Jack Lord cast. Just saying 😉 As for the cocktails, we may have been partaking in a few of our own at the time!

    • What an incredibly lovely comment, Hugh. Thanks! They’re actually on one of those digital frames in my kitchen, so that every once in a while I see them as they scroll through. Always makes me sigh and long for a return visit 😉

  2. Nice shots. Long ago i did the dawn visit to Haleakala, and the bike ride back down. That was a lot of fun. As we rode down, our guide would stop and tell us the names of certain bends in the road, named after people who had gone over the edge. 🙂
