Last week, I once again had the amazing pleasure of spending time in New York City with a few of my fellow photographers from Monochromia. Laurie wrote such a wonderful post about the experience, that I sure hope she’s okay with me reblogging it! The laughs, the friendship, the sites seen (especially the look of wonder on Laurie’s face as she experienced the city for the first time since 2001) are memories I will carry with me always. Sending hugs to you all (and a picture for you, Laurie!).
If you saw my last post, you know that I had the incredible opportunity to travel to New York City to meet up with some of the Monochromia photographers. While I’d never met any of these people in person, we’d been online friends for years.

I took the train from Washington, DC to Penn Station where I met Joe and Terry. After checking into our hotel, we walked right across the street to quench our travel thirst. How convenient!
Soon enough we were joined by Patti.
It was not long before the cameras came out, and we were hitting the streets.
Stacy, already in the city for a photography workshop, joined us next,
soon followed by Robyn who drove up from PA.
We visited Grand Central Station, the World Trade Center Memorial, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Central Park, and the Public Library.

I think Joe is coming out this way in May…I can’t remember. Maybe Emilio will come too! I think it would be so fun. There are others that are here in CA. Carrie and Pam although they are in both ends of the state.
