ABFriday Unveils Special 2015 Format!

After-and-Before Friday Post HeaderHighlighting the creative magic behind post-processed photos

I may be on holiday, along with ABFriday, but there’s still exciting news to share: On Friday, January 9, the highly successful format of the six-month Anniversary Challenge returns to ABF!  The first Friday of each month will now be designated ABFriday One Photo Focus, with all participants editing the same photo.

Here’s how it will work:

  1. The photo to be edited will be revealed in the ABF post two weeks in advance.
  2. If you’d like to join in, email me at visualventuring@gmail.com. Let me know if you prefer RAW or jpeg; I will send you the full-sized file.
  3. Email me your “after” image no later than Wednesday midnight EST, two days prior to the post. Refer to the schedule and the submission details on the ABF Forum page.

So, without further ado, here is the “before” image to be edited for ABFriday Week #31 (9 January 2015), proudly submitted by Emilio Pasquale of Photos by Emilio. For those who might not remember, Emilio’s foggy Golden Gate Bridge photo received the second highest number of votes in the Anniversary Challenge. We felt it only fitting that he should submit a photo for the first ABF 2015 post-processing palooza!

(Note: I will be without good internet access until Monday, December 29, at which point I’ll respond to any email requests I receive.)

  1. Hello, Stacy, what a wonderful idea. It will help a lot for people like me (to learn). I don’t think I will participate at this moment because I still have a lot to learn. But do you mind I download the photo for the challenge to play with it so I can compare mine to the experts’? Of course, no is an okay answer 😉 Thanks. Helen
