Fun with panning…

Nice photo Stacey! I’ve not yet tried panning myself. I have the same lens you used for this one and it’s wonderfully versatile and sharp isn’t it? I say this, as I look at my bookshelf full of old film cameras, with my Nikon digital trapped in the middle 🙂

Thanks, Steve. I find panning to be a lot of fun, especially with this lens. Using it for the first time opened up a whole new photographic world for me 🙂 Film cameras, huh? The only film cameras I ever owned were the point and shoot kind, some with those square rotating flash bulbs that had four flashes each. Such a hoot!

I can’t say that I ever owned much better than a film point and shoot when I was younger, but now that great film cameras can be had for the price of lunch, and film still being produced and processed, why not?

What a fantastic shot! Wonderful panning…another thing I have never been successful at. Seeing this has inspired me to keep trying!

Thanks, Cardinal. Sometimes panning works; sometimes not. This time I managed to capture something 🙂

It’s a very fine line between correct shutter speed and blurry mess when it comes to panning.
