Wow, Janina, you’re really digging back into my blog! Thanks for that 🙂 I haven’t done that in a long time and really should. My photographic style has definitely evolved as I continue to explore what I most like to shoot. Urban landscapes have clearly become my images of choice, but I do remember the fun of capturing those delicious-looking nectarines!
Yes, your urban shots certainly are strong and, therefore, I think you could bring some of that architectural eye to fruit shots, vegetables en masse…bringing an abstract feel to them, if you light it well!
Thanks for those thoughts, Janina. I truly do struggle with composition on smaller scale images. Developing my eye for these types of shots is something I desperately want to do. Your insights are invaluable as they give me a direction!
I appreciate where you’re coming from, Stacy. My thoughts are merely musings on what I can envision! Your photographic choices are your business…but, if you do wish to explore, just start taking these sorts of shots with a 50mm lens (in old film talk) and see them as ‘flat’ objects, ie an overhead view, or similar. Have fun! Remember: Rome wasn’t built in a day! 😉
Bravo! I like the way you think. I ALWAYS carry my camera with me especially to the grocery store. The displays in the produce and vegetable sections are an artists wonderland. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Oh come and join us here in the UK, Stacy. We’ve just had the coldest August night on record as well a months worth of rain which fell on Monday, which just happened to be a bank holiday here in the UK. I’m still refusing to go from wearing shorts to wearing long trousers, at least until October 1st! 🙂 Enjoy the last breathes of summer.
Nectarines are a favourite…in the stores at the moment. Nice capture.
