Weekly Photo Challenge: Share a shot that captures a contrast
A portion of Alexander Calder’s (1898-1976) 76-foot-long orange-and-black mobile, “Untitled,” which hangs in the atrium of the National Gallery of Art East Building, Washington, D.C. Calder is best known for his mobiles, creating the first of these sculptures in the 1930s.
Really lovely Stacy! Wonderful colors, composition and light!

It’s such an incredible mobile! Wish I had taken a photo of the entire installation that I could share, but I was having too much fun with the details π Thanks, as always, for your kind comment, Elina.

Glad you like it, thanks! It was awesome to see it in person. Note: the old color-calibration issue is rearing it’s ugly head: the installation is black and orange π

Madhu, I had so many different shots with so many angles that I was having a hard time choosing the best one, and then deciding how to post-process it. So, many thanks for validating my choice π
