Weekly Photo Challenge: Split-Second Story (3)

The Challenge: Tell a story by documenting a moment in time through a single image. From atop the Arc de Triomphe, a view of the every-which-way-traffic in the roundabout adjacent to the Champs-Elysées.Paris “street” life

Reportedly, there are eight traffic lanes in the roundabout surrounding the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Even from our bird’s-eye view atop the Arc, we weren’t so sure.

  1. Love your interpretation of this week’s challenge. Those poor cars, and drivers, in that round about. Chaos. Confusion. Fear. Step on the gas peddle at the wrong moment and you don’t want to think what comes next 🙂 I suppose many in Paris are used to this, and gutsy, if their roundabouts are this messy like a maze.

    • Exactly my thoughts, Mabel! I don’t like the roundabouts where I live, but we at least have lines painted on the road to show the lanes. Here, it’s every man for himself. Yikes 🙂 Thanks so much for your comment and for stopping by!

  2. Unreal, look at how close those two cars are to each other. The ones behind the truck in the top right… they’re about to bump together, but probably didn’t. I thought Toronto and Montreal drivers were insane.
