The quaint village of Bonnieux is located in France’s Luberon Valley in Provence. Walking the streets on a hot summer day, we found this adorable cat keeping cool in the shade of a brick wall.Β Wonder how to say, “Here, kitty, kitty,” in French …

The coloring of this adorable cat was perfect for a B&W. Especially along with the rock pavement and wall. Great.

Thanks, Karen! Though I may have to post the original color photo at some point. The green of her eyes and the earth tones of the stone wall worked really well too.

A beautiful capture Stacey.. I agree about salvaging with PP too .. I’ll publish some mono when I get sorted.. it adds atmosphere to the image too .. . minou I think is French for Kitty π but I have been known to be wrong π

Thanks, Glynn! As for “minou,” whether right or wrong, it just sounds like it should mean “kitty” π

Aww, thanks, Laura! Had to rework this one a lot from the original color image. I do love that post-processing can “save” images that otherwise would have been relegated to the trash bin. Turns out, she was a keeper π
