Weekly Photo Challenge: Threshold

On the threshold of …

A Gallery of Two Pictures

Bride and groom on Île Saint Louis, Paris, with the River Seine in the background.

… becoming husband and wife.
Île St. Louis, Paris

A couple stands on the sidewalk outside the door to a sweets shop, looking in, as if deciding whether or not to enter.
… stepping into a Willy Wonka world.

We found this shop while wandering the beautiful streets of Île St. Louis. The storefront of La Cure Gourmande beckons visitors to sample a cornucopia of sweet delights – biscuits, lollipops, toffees, chocolates, caramels, and more. So, what decision do you think this couple made: did they go in or didn’t they?

  1. Such great photos Stacy! Beautiful moments, you’ve captured and composed them so well! My favorite is the young couple and I love it that they are not posing but it’s just sort of a spontaneous capture, really lovely mood in the photo!

    • Thanks for your kind comment, and for your follow, kerlund74! I really enjoyed your “threshold” photos from Provence as well, and got a kick out of your tent 🙂 Happy to have you following along!

    • Stefano, thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment on my humble blog. I shot this photo over 3 years ago, and the composition was a result of my attempt to respect the couple’s privacy (I was an onlooker). The threshold challenge just cried out for this one, and I figured after all this time it would be all right if I used it. So flattered you liked it!
